Who are Survival Seeds?

Survival Seeds is a company dedicated to providing high-quality, non-GMO heirloom seeds to gardeners and homesteaders who value self-sufficiency, sustainable agriculture, and preserving genetic diversity in plants.

Our heirloom, non-gmo seeds are carefully selected for their taste, yield, and adaptability, making them ideal for survival situations and everyday gardening.

What are heirloom seeds?

Heirloom seeds are open-pollinated varieties that have been handed down through generations of growers for hundreds, even thousands of years.

These seeds produce plants with consistent traits, and their seeds can be saved and replanted, ensuring a sustainable food supply.

Are your seeds non-GMO?

Yes, all of our seeds are non-GMO. We are committed to providing seeds that have not been genetically modified in any way and are true to their heritage.

Can I save seeds from my harvest to replant next season?

Yes, since our seeds are open-pollinated heirloom varieties, you can save seeds from your harvest to replant in future seasons, ensuring a self-sufficient and sustainable garden.

How long will my seeds remain viable for storage?

The viability of seeds depends on the type of seed and the storage conditions. Under optimal conditions—cool, dry, and dark storage—most of our seeds will remain viable for 3 to 5 years or longer. Some varieties, such as tomatoes and cucumbers, can last even up to 10 years if properly stored.

To ensure maximum viability:

  • Store seeds in an airtight container.
  • Keep them in a cool, consistent temperature (ideally below 15°C / 59°F).
  • Avoid exposure to moisture, heat, and light.

For best results, we recommend planting your seeds within a few years of purchase, but with proper care, you can enjoy successful germination even after extended storage.

What is your germination rate?

We strive to provide seeds with a germination rate of at least 85%. However, germination rates can be affected by various factors, such as storage conditions, planting techniques, and environmental factors.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only ship from Texas to the USA on this site and to and from Australia from our Australian site.

What is your return policy?

At Survival Seeds, we’re a family business dedicated to ensuring our customers are completely satisfied. If you encounter any issues with your order, we’ll always do our best to make it right. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help!
